Description: Below is my vector logo that I created in Illustrator. I wanted to keep it simple and elegant. Above you can see my original sketches and my first vector product. This is basically I project where I was required to rebrand my logo (thank goodness).
This new logo represents me a lot better than the ones I’ve had in the past. This one represents simplicity and elegance and I feel like my best work is usually simple and elegant. The icon above it kind of has a deeper meaning. It is supposed to represent my middle name. So it is a side ways “I” that resembles a dove. I go more into it below.
I honestly hate creating logos. I struggle with it every time. There are certain things that I really struggle getting creative with and creating my own brand has been one of them. I didn’t feel like any icon made with my initials (like the traditional logo) would look good, I tried several different things and hated it all. So I decided at first not to have an icon at all. Then someone suggested to me to include one. I took their advice and brainstormed more ideas I wanted the icon to represent me in some way. I started to look for ways that I could symbolize my middle name “Irene” which means peace and is symbolized by a dove. What I ended up with was an icon that is literally I sideways “I” in cursive that resembles a bird.
